Karachi July 4 2024: The foreign exchange reserves of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) saw an increase of USD 494 million in a week due to official inflows from multilateral agencies, according to data released by the Central Bank.
As of June 28th, 2024, the current level of SBP reserves is USD 9,390 million.
During the same time frame, foreign exchange reserves held by commercial banks decreased by USD 128 million, reaching USD 5,184 million as of June 28th, 2024.
Overall, the country’s total reserves experienced an Increase of USD 366 million, reaching USD 14,573 million by the week ending on June 28th, 2024.
