Karachi June 23 2022: Foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan were down for consecutive 9th weeks. For the week ending Jun 17, 2022, Reserves held with SBP were down by USD 748 million to USD 8.24 billion as per data released by the Central Bank.
At present, SBP reserves stand at the level of USD 8.24 billion as of 17th Jun 2022 compared to USD 8.99 billion at the end of the week ending 10th Jun 2022.
During the same period, foreign exchange reserves held by commercial banks increased by USD 15 million to the level of USD 5.97 billion as of 17th Jun 2022.
Overall reserves held by the country witnessed a decrease of USD 733 million during the week ended 17th Jun 2022.
