Islamabad May 12 2022: Pakistan Automobile sector sales decline 18% during the month of April when compared with sales of previous month, according to the data published by Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association.
Car sales drop to 22,370 units during April 2022 compared to the previous month due to higher car prices and higher interest rates amid measures taken by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to curb Auto financing.
However, car sales are up 30% during the month of April 2022 when compared with the same month of last year.
Honda Atlas sales dropped the most by 28% followed by that of Indus Motors drop of 18% and 16% of Pak Suzuki. Hyundai sold 1,287 units with decline of 1% in sales.
Pak Suzuki Motors remained the best selling brand with sales of 12,639 units while Indus Motors sold 5,775 units. Honda Atlas sold sales decline the most by 28 percent to 2,629 units.
