Islamabad June 16 2023: As per the latest data released by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), Pakistan Transport imports witnessed a decrease of 78 percent May 2023 when compared with the same month last year.
The imports of Auto industry were down due to continued import restrictions as Auto manufacturer faces delay in opening of LCs.
Imports of Road Motor Vehicle (CKS/SKD) declined by 78 percent year on year to USD 69.1 million. During the first eleven months of fiscal year 2023, imports of Road Motor Vehicle (CKS/SKD) decreased by 58.93 percent to USD 1,673 million.
Completely built unit (CBU) imports down by 87.83 percent year on year to USD 7.31 million. Moreover, during first eleven months of fiscal year 2023, imports of CBU decreased by 72.01 percent to USD 164.6 million.
CKD imports down by 78.27 percent to USD 45.59 million and also down by 53.99 percent to USD 1,029 million.
Imports of Aircrafts, Ships and Boats declined by 78.55 percent year on year to USD 4.6 million during May 2023 and down by 79.06 percent during July to May 2023.
