Islamabad January 29 2025: According to a survey conducted by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, three-quarters (75%) Pakistanis say bank transactions are primarily done by men in their house,7% say it’s primarily done by women.
A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country was asked the question, “Who usually does this work in your house – Taking money from the bank?” In response, 75% said ‘Men’, 7% said ‘Women’, 7% said ‘Others’, and 12% responded they don’t know or gave no response.
“Rural residents (79%) are more likely than urban residents (69%) to say that men typically handle bank transactions, with a 10% difference between the both” states the survey.
