Sydney November 9 2022: New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and opted to bat first in their semi-final clash of the ICC men’s T20 World Cup against Pakistan at the SCG in Sydney on Wednesday.
New Zealand finished at the top of Group 1 in the Super 12s while Pakistan qualified for the semi-finals as the second-placed team from Group 2. Both teams have played some quality cricket throughout the tournament but the Kiwis have been a bit more consistent.
But Pakistan won the tri-series final against the Kiwis ahead of this tournament and they will be eager to repeat a similar performance in this match to book their spot in the final.
