Islamabad September 22 2021: Based on the information provided by Central Power Purchasing Agency Guarantee Limited (CPPA-G), NEPRA is set to increase electricity prices by PKR 2.0719 per unit for the month of August due to high fuel cost adjustment (FCA).
Based on the information the provided by CPPA the actual fuel charges for the EX-WAPDA DISCOs for the month of August 2021 worked out to be PKR 6.805 per unit which are PKR 2.0719 per unit higher than reference tariff.

NEPRA has provided reference fuel price of PKR 4.7334 per unit as per decision of the Authority for EX-WAPDA DISCOs for the month of August 2021, as proposed by CPPA-G.
However, the final decision by NEPRA will be taken on September 30 after the hearing of all stakeholders.
