Islamabad November 21 2021: Based on the information provided by Central Power Purchasing Agency Guarantee Limited (CPPA-G), NEPRA is set to increase electricity prices by PKR 4.7528 per unit for the month of October due to high fuel cost adjustment (FCA).
Based on the information the provided by CPPA the actual fuel charges for the EX-WAPDA DISCOs for the month of October 2021 worked out to be PKR 9.9261 per unit which are PKR 4.7528 per unit higher than reference tariff.

NEPRA Increased Electricity Prices By PKR 2.52 per unit For September
During the month, fuel cost increased by 126 percent year on year due to higher reliance on Residual Fuel Oil (RFO) and RLNG. RFO composition in the generation mix increased to more then ten percent during the month of October 2021.
NEPRA has provided reference fuel price of PKR 5.1733 per unit as per decision of the Authority for EX-WAPDA DISCOs for the month of October 2021, as proposed by CPPA-G.
However, the final decision by NEPRA will be taken on November 30 after the hearing of all stakeholders.
