Karachi November 18 2022: In order to facilitate market participants to maintain multiple IBAN and mobile number for their customers, relevant system changes have been made in KIS by National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL).
NCCPL in the capacity of Centralized KYC Organization (CKO) by the Securities Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), aims to enhance existing CKO regime prevalent in the Capital Market under applicable NCCPL CKO Regulation 2017 by developing processes and systems in order to provide ease to the investors and AIs.
Currently, only one International Bank Account Numbers (IBAN) and one mobile number can be linked with the customer in KYC Information System (KIS). However, in order to facilitate market participants to maintain multiple IBAN and mobile number for their customers, relevant system changes have been made in KIS, which have been made effective from November 14, 2022.
AI shall be able to submit multiple IBANs/mobile numbers in KIS against their customers that have completed their KYC process and have been issued Unique KYC Number (UKN) by CKO. The feature also allows selection of secondary IBAN / mobile numbers for each customer. Respective report for multiple IBAN/ mobile number screen has been made available in KIS. All other requirements under CKO Regulations 2017 shall remain applicable.
