London May 13 2023: MSCI Inc. (NYSE:MSCI), a leading provider of critical decision support tools and services for the global investment community, delete three Pakistani stocks from MSCI Frontier Markets small cap index, according to the press release issued by the body.
BANK ALFALAH, ENGRO POLYMER & CHEMICAL and INDUS MOTOR COMPANY were deleted from small cap Frontier Market index.
The result is announced as a conclusion of the May 2023 Index Review for the MSCI Equity Indexes.
Apart from this, Morroco and Vietnam faces one deletion each. SODEP MARSA MAROC (MSCI MOROCCO INDEX) and MSCI MOROCCO INDEX (MSCI VIETNAM INDEX) were drop from MSCI Small Cap Index. While, MSCI added seven stocks to its index and none of them is from Pakistan.
According to the statement, ” These changes in constituents for the MSCI Frontier Markets Small Cap Indexes will take place as of the close of May 31, 2023.”
