Islamabad April 13 2023: MPCL and OPI have entered into a Gas Processing Contract for the provision of Early Production Facilities (EPF) on turn-key basis for Shewa-I Discovery in Waziristan Block.
Under the Gas Processing Contract, OPI shall also provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Services for a period of twenty four months from the start of production. The Gas Processing Contract also has a provision for MPCL to purchase the EPF equipment.
The well test rates were in the order of 50 MMSCFD of gas and 300 Barrels per Day of condensate at flowing wellhead pressure of 5,500 Psig at 40/64″ choke size from the Lockhart formation.
MPCL is the Operator of Waziristan Block with 55% working interest; whereas OGDCL and OPI are joint venture partners having working interest of 35% and 10% respectively.
