Karachi August 23 2022: K-Electric has submitted an application to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), seeking a hike of PKR 11.077 per unit in the power tariff for the month of July 2022, it emerged on Wednesday.
As per the details, K-Electric has requested decrease of PKR 3.476 per unit for the month of June under fuel charges adjustment. However, at the same time the distribution company seek an increase of PKR 14.533 in base tariff against quarterly adjustments for the quarter ended June 2022.
NEPRA will take the final decision for increase in prices on 31st August 2022.
