K-Electric seek an increase of nearly Rs 10 per unit in electricity bill for residents of karachi, likely to fall in June bill

Karachi June 7 2022: K-Electric has submitted an application to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), seeking a hike of PKR 9.82 per unit in the power tariff, it emerged on Tuesday.

As per the details, K-Electric has requested an increase of PKR 4.859 per unit for the month of April under fuel charges adjustment.

Meanwhile, K-electric has also seek an increase of PKR 4.521 against quarterly adjustments for the period ending March 2022.

NEPRA will take the final decision for increase in prices on 14th June 2022.

The requested changes if approved will be charged in the electricity bills for the month of June.
