Information Technology companies are going to benefit from substantial growth in IT exports due to supportive government policies.
Information and Technology exports grew by 66 percent to US$196 million during the month of April as compared to US$117 million last year, as per recent data published by State Bank of Pakistan.
This takes July – April Information and Technology exports to US$1.7 billion as against US$1.2 billion during the first 11 months of the last fiscal year.
In particular, software consultancy services posted growth of 52 percent during the month of April to just shy of US$50mn mark, this takes total services exports under this head to US$443 million during the period July – April of this fiscal year, up by 28 percent.
