Islamabad September 20 2022: The Federal Police has asked for 30,000 Police, Rangers and FC personnel from the provinces. 20,000 from Punjab, 4,000 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 6,000 Rangers have been called.
Islamabad Police officials have confirmed these preparations to the British Broadcaster.
Hundreds of containers will also be installed to prevent protesters from entering sensitive areas and trenches will be dug with containers at the entrances.
Additional tear gas shells and tear gas-throwing drones have also been procured.
According to officials, 3,000 FC officials have reached Islamabad, while Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have not yet decided to send personnel.
