Islamabad September 27 2022: The security around the accountability court has been tightened on the expected surrender of the accused Ishaq Dar, who was declared as an advertisement in the NAB reference of assets in excess of income, according to BBC.
The road leading to the judicial complex was cordoned off for general traffic.
The accountability court has suspended the permanent arrest warrant of Ishaq Dar till October 7. The court had said in the written order that if the accused wants to appear in the court himself, he must be given an opportunity.
The court wrote in the written order that Ishaq Dar’s warrant was only to ensure his court appearance.
NAB had filed a reference against Ishaq Dar on September 8, 2017 for disproportionate assets. Accountability Court indicted Ishaq Dar on September 27, 2017, while on December 11, 2017, perpetual arrest warrant was issued against Ishaq Dar as an advertiser.
