Islamabad August 26 2022: The Ministry of Interior has approved the deployment of Pakistan Army in the flood-affected areas of the four provinces to assist the civilian government in view of the emergency situation of heavy rains and floods.
The summary of deployment of army under Article 245 of the Constitution has been sent to the Federal Cabinet for final approval.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Interior, the four provincial governments had sent a requisition to the Ministry of Interior to deploy troops in the flood-affected areas.
