Islamabad July 31 2022: The federal government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs 3.05 per litre while the price of high speed diesel has been increased by Rs 8.95 per litre, according to the notification.
According to the notification, the price of kerosene has been increased by Rs 4.62 per liter while price of light diesel oil (LDO) is reduced by Rs 0.12 per liter.
Owing to the fluctuations in petroleum prices in the international market and exchange rate variation, the Government of Pakistan has decided to revise the existing prices to pass on the impact to the consumers.
The new prices will be Rs 227.19 per liter for MS (Petrol), Rs 244.95 per liter for HSD, Rs 201.07 per liter for kerosene oil and Rs 191.32 per liter for Light Diesel oil.
The new prices include Petroleum Levy of Rs 20 per liter on Petrol and Rs 10 per liter on HSD, Kerosene oil and LDO. Earlier, the government was charging Petroleum Levy of Rs 10 per liter on Petrol and Rs 5 per liter on rest of the products.
The new prices will be effective from tomorrow 1st August 2022 for the next fifteen days.
