Karachi January 30 2023: According to All Sindh Sarafa Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola decreased by PKR 2,500 per tola for 24 Karat on Monday (PST 21:30) after hitting intraday high of 2 lakh 11 thousand 900.
This is despite Pakistani currency fall 7.03 or 2.6 percent on Monday against dollar to close at 269.63 in Interbank as Central Bank reserve deplete at a record pace due to hefty debt payments. During the last three days Rupee has lost PKR 38.74 or 14.37 percent against the dollar in the Interbank.
After this decrease, the price of gold per tola in the country has reached 2 lakh 5 thousand and 900 after hitting all time high of 2 lakh 11 thousand 900 in Intraday trading.
During the last week the price of Gold increased by PKR 21,350 per tola.
The price of 24 karat 10 grams of gold trading at PKR 1 lakh 76 thousand 530, whereas that of 10 gram 22 karat went up to PKR 161,818, All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.
The per tola silver is trading at PKR 2,330 on Monday compared with 2,240 price on Saturday.
In International market gold prices decline by USD 3.4 or 0.18 percent to USD 1,924.64 per ounce at PST 22:00.
