Karachi November 28 2023: Ghani Chemical lndustries Limited decided to install coal based power plant to lower its energy cost, according to company filing to the exchange.
To overcome the high utility prices issue (being the only raw material for manufacturing of medical and industrial gases), it has been decided to setup 07 MW Coai Power Plant based on mix of local & imported coai in Port Qasim and/or any other nearby suitable location at a projected cost of US$ 5.00- 5.50M. By setting of this project, it is expected to save 45-50% power cost of Air Separation Unit (ASU) Plants of the Company installed at Port Qasim, Karachi. This will also provide strong competitive advantage as power is major element in Production Cost.
To relocate the one of the 110TPD ASU Plant installed at Phool Nagar (out of two) at some suitable location in Southern Region of the country (after installation & commissioning of Hattar Plant) to meet t he additional requi rements of medical and industria l gases and toalso create a backup for our other plants in the country.
