Karachi February 10 2022: Foreign exchange reserves held by State Bank of Pakistan up by USD 1,609 million during the week ending February 04, 2022, as per data released by the Central Bank.
The main reason of this rise in foreign exchange reserves is USD 1.0 billion received from IMF and issuance of SUKUK of worth USD 1.0 billion.
At present, SBP reserves stands at the level of USD 17.337 billion as of 04th February 2022 compared to USD 15.728 billion at the end of week ending 28th January 2022.
During the same period, foreign exchange reserves held by commercial banks also increased by USD 27 million to the level of USD 6.384 billion as of 04th February 2022.
Overall reserves held by country witnessed an increase of USD 1,636 million during the week of 04th February 2022.
