Karachi January 18 2022: Foreign direct investment (FDI) during December 2021 witnessed net inflow USD 219 million, up by 29 percent YoY compared to net inflow of USD 169 million during December 2020.
During 1HFY22, FDI also increased by 20 percent YoY to USD 1,057 million.

China’s share in FDI remained the highest at 29 percent during 1HFY22 to USD 307 million compared with USD 390 million during same period last year.
Net inflow from United States remained at USD 149 million during 1HFY22 compared with USD 68 million during same period last year.
Net inflow in power sector remained USD 364 million followed by Financial Business Sector (USD 206 million) and Communications Sector (USD 147 million).
