Islamabad November 24 2022: The federal government has rejected the request of Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan to arrive in Islamabad by helicopter.
The government has said that firstly no helipad is available in Islamabad and secondly the area for which permission has been sought is a sensitive area of Darul Kumat.
It should be noted that earlier the GHQ had given permission to Imran Khan to use the helipad, after which Tehreek-e-Insaaf had asked that now the federal government should also give permission in view of the security threats to Imran Khan’s life.
The federal government has given permission to the Tehreek-e-Insaf to hold a rally on 36 conditions and has also said that if the Chairman of the Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan signs these conditions, otherwise the permission for the rally will also be considered cancelled.
In these conditions, the government has given the routes of the rally and if Tehreek-e-Insaaf assures to stay on these routes, then there will be a need for protests from the government.
Citing court decisions, the government has said that protest-related matters with political parties can be settled outside sensitive areas.
