Islamabad September 29 2021: FBR increased custom duty by 7 percent on parts imported by local manufacturers for manufacturing of 1,000cc above cars, as per notification issued by the Authority.
This increased rate will be applicable on cars, jeeps and light commercial vehicles in CKD condition exceeding 1000cc and heavy commercial vehicles in CKD condition.

During the first two months of current fiscal year country imported Automobile and Automobile parts worth of USD 668 million, which were 154 percent higher when compared with previous year imports of USD 262 million under this head.
