Islamabad August 6 2024: The Base plant of Engro Fertilizers Limited, the second largest urea plant in Pakistan, has been shut down for unscheduled maintenance.
The tentative duration of this forced outage will be around 5 days. The Company has commenced necessary maintenance activities after which the Base Plant is expected to resume operation by 10th August 2024.
“Earlier the company has carried out the biggest turnarounds at the EnVen plant during the previous quarter. The total expenditure amounted to approximately USD 50 million, with around 30% to 40% allocated to OPEX and the remainder to CAPEX” states Areeba Nasir Research Analyst at Optimus Capital in its note on Engro Fertilizer.
“Currently, no turnarounds are anticipated for the base plant” she writes yesterday in its research note.
