Islamabad June 19: The moon of Dhul Hijjah 1444 Hijri is seen in Pakistan.
The announcement was made following a meeting of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee convened in Karachi for the sighting of the crescent of the Islamic month of Zilhaj. Zonal and district committees in Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar and other areas also held their meetings.
While giving a press conference in Karachi, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, said that the testimonies of the sighting of the moon have been received at many places in the country.
He said that it was unanimously decided that 1st Dhul Hijjah 1444 Hijri will be held on Tuesday, June 20 and Eid-ul-Adha will be held on Thursday, June 29.
