Islamabad March 6 2023: A local court in Islamabad has rejected Imran Khan’s plea to cancel his non-bailable arrest warrant.
Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Imran Khan in the Tosha Khan case, in which he is expected to be produced on March 7.
In this regard, the Islamabad police went to Lahore on Sunday to arrest Imran Khan, but due to the resistance of the workers, this arrest was not possible.
Imran Khan’s lawyers filed an application in the Additional Sessions Judge’s court on Monday for cancellation of the warrant, which was rejected by Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal after a brief hearing and said that Imran Khan’s arrest warrant remains intact.
Speaking to BBC, Imran Khan’s lawyer Ali Bukhari said that he will now approach the Islamabad High Court on this matter, but he did not say whether Imran Khan will appear in court tomorrow or not.
