September 11 2021: According to data released by the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), car sales were recorded at 21,751 units in August 2021, which is 85 percent higher than during August 2020.
During 2MFY22, car sales increased by 99% year on year to 46,669 units.
However, Pak Suzuki Motor Company and Indus Motor Company remained the major laggard as their sales fell 21 percent and 16 percent during August 2021 compared July 2021, respectively.
Pak Suzuki Motor Company managed to sale 12,062 units during August 2021 compared to 15,181 units last month.
