Doha June 04 2021: FIFA expects up to 200k fans to attend matches per day during the final stages of World Cup 2022, to be held in Qatar. The quantum of overall fans is forecasted to reach over one million people who will attend the World Cup.
To handle such a large quantum of public FIFA is spending approximately USD8 billion for building of infrastructure. To erect eight stadiums at sites AL BAYT, LUSAIL, AL RAYAN, EDUCATION CITY, RAS ABU ABOUD, KHALIFA INTERNATIONAL, AL THUMAMA and AL JANOUB with other facilities FIFA is going to use more than 30,000 workforce.
In FIFA World Cup 2022, 32 teams will be participating while 64 matches are going to be played during the period of 28 days. On average 4 matches are going to be held on each day.
