Lahore August 2 2024: Government of Punjab has increased the royalty on limestone and argillaceous clay to 6 percent of the selling price of cement, according to the notification by the mines and mineral department.
This is 620 percent increase in the value of royalty from PKR 6 per bag to PKR 90 per bag as earlier the royalty was PKR 125 per metric ton on the mining of limestone.
Share prices of FCCL, PIOC, DGKC, MLCF fall by 1.58 percent, 6.32percent, 2.18 percent and 3.85 percent in today trading at Pakistan Stock Exchange.
