Islamabad July 13 2024: An Islamabad court has acquitted Imran Khan and his wife in the case of marriage in IIdat.
Additional Sessions Judge of Islamabad Muhammad Afzal Majuka has accepted the appeals of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi against the sentence in the case of marriage during iidat. The court has ordered to release Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi from this case.
Despite the acquittal, Imran Khan will not be able to be released yet, the chances of Bushra Bibi’s release.
Even after today’s court decision, Imran Khan will not be able to be released because even before the decision on these appeals, an anti-terrorism court in Lahore had rejected Imran Khan’s interim bail in the May 9 incidents, after which the Lahore Police has arrested Imran Khan in these cases. However, it is certain that Imran Khan’s wife will be released after the approval of these appeals because there is no other case against her that requires her arrest.
Two cases were registered against Bushra Bibi, of which she has been acquitted in the case of marriage during Eidat, while Bushra Bibi is already on bail in the 190 million pound case.
It should be noted that earlier the Islamabad High Court had suspended the sentences of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in Tosha Khana.
