Islamabad May 29 2024: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) of Pakistan, in accordance with the policy guidelines of the Federal Government, has increase the prices by more than 6 percent for Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) effective May 24, 2024.
Pakistan will import 11 shipments of RLNG (equivalent to 1.1 bcfd) during May 2024, with 10 handled by Pakistan State Oil and one by Pakistan LNG Limited. The increase in RLNG prices is mainly due to increase in DES price.
The updated prices affect consumers of both Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL), and cover both transmission and distribution categories.
For SNGPL, the transmission price for May 2024 is set at $12.7210 per MMBtu, up from $11.9862 in April 2024, marking an increase of $0.7348 or 6.13%. The distribution price for May 2024 is $13.7440 per MMBtu, compared to $12.9462 in April 2024, representing a rise of $0.7978 or 6.16%.

These adjustments reflect a uniform percentage increase across both companies and categories, driven by the new federal policy guidelines.
