Islamabad May 15 2024: The Islamabad High Court has granted bail and ordered the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the post-arrest bail application in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
The court has ordered Imran Khan to submit a surety bond of Rs 10 lac.
Chief Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Amir Farooq have given a verdict on Imran Khan’s plea and ordered his release.
Despite being acquitted by the Islamabad High Court in the Al-Qadir Trust case, he will not be able to be released from jail because apart from the Cipher case, he has also been convicted in the Nikah during Eidat case.
A two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court reserved judgment on the petition on Tuesday.
Earlier, the Islamabad High Court has suspended the sentence of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the Tosha Khana case.
Statements of more than 30 witnesses have been recorded by the accountability court in 190 million pounds, while according to NAB officials, the statements of 10 more witnesses are to be recorded.
