Karachi January 29 2024: State Bank of Pakistan has taken a principled decision to introduce new currency notes of all denominations, says Central Bank Governor Jameel Ahmed.
According to State Bank Governor Jameel Ahmed, the new notes will be printed with international security features. However, this could only be done after the approval of federal cabinet.
Governor State Bank says that the notes will be introduced with new serial number, design and high security features.
According to Governor State Bank, the design framework of new notes has been started, it is hoped that the design framework of new notes will be completed by March.
Governor State Bank has made it clear that they will not suddenly change currency notes in the style of India.
State Bank sources have said that this decision has been taken considering the complaints of fake notes across the country.
