Peshawar January 10 2024: The Peshawar High Court has restored PTI’s election symbol ‘bat’ while giving its verdict in the case related to intra-party election and election symbol of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.
On Wednesday, a two-member bench comprising Justice Ijaz Anwar and Justice Arshad Ali heard the case against PTI’s annulment of intra-party elections and acquisition of election symbol in the Peshawar High Court.
In its brief decision, the court said that the December 22 decision of the Election Commission is unconstitutional.
In the judgment, the court said that the PTI intra-party election certificate should be released on the website. PTI is entitled to the symbol of the bat.
It should be remembered that on December 22, the Election Commission declared the intra-party election of PTI null and void and with this decision PTI lost its election symbol bat.
