Islambad August 29 2023: The Islamabad High Court has granted Imran Khan’s request for suspension of sentence in the Tosha Khana case and ordered him to be released on bail.
A summary judgment has been given by the High Court at this time, and a detailed judgment on this will be given later.
A two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court, headed by Chief Justice Amir Farooq, reserved its decision after completing the hearing on the case yesterday (Monday).
It should be noted that on August 5, a trial court in Islamabad sentenced Imran Khan to three years in prison, declaring him guilty of corruption in the case related to hiding the details of government gifts (Tosha Khana case). Soon after the verdict, he was arrested by the Punjab Police from his residence in Zaman Park in Lahore and is now lodged in Attock Jail in Punjab.
