Islamabad March 6 2023: The exports of textile commodities decreased by 28 percent during the month of February 2022 as compared to the corresponding month of last year, revealed on Monday by APTMA.
Textile exports decreased by 9.1 percent in February 2023 to USD 1.20 billion against exports of USD 1.32 billion in January 2023. This is the lowest number for any month since May 2021.
For the last five months exports of Pakistan textile sector are below the level of USD 1.5 billion.
During the first eight months of this fiscal year, Textile exports declined 11.0 percent to USD 11.24 billion when compared with exports of USD 12.6 billion in the same period last year.
