Islamabad November 2 2022: Pakistan trade deficit decreased 21.9 percent during the month of October to USD 2,265 million, the lowest number since November 2020 of USD 2,121 million, according to data released by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
As per the latest data released, exports stood at USD 2,371 million while Imports were USD 4,636 million during October 2022.
The data showed that exports during October 2022 were 3.07 percent lower than exports of September 2022 and 3.77 percent lower compared to exports of October 2021.
The data showed that imports during October 2022 were 13.3 percent lower than imports of September 2022 and decreased by 27.21 percent compared to imports of October 2021.
Trade deficit decreased by 42 percent during the month of October 2022 when compared with data of the corresponding month last year.
Moreover, trade deficit also decreased by 26.59 percent during the period from July to October 2022 to USD 11,469 million when compared with data of the corresponding period last year.
