It’s another blow to Australia’s hopes of advancing to the next change, with the Aussies now dropping to third on the Group 1 table, behind New Zealand and England.
England’s final group stage match will be against Sri Lanka on Saturday and it seems as though all of Australia will need to get behind the Sri Lankans.
Australia will need to beat Afghanistan by more than 60 runs and hope Sri Lanka run England very close.
