Islamabad September 27 2022: The Election Commission has ordered former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry to appear in person on October 11 in the case of insulting the Election Commission.
The contempt of election commission case was heard by a four-member bench headed by Sindh member Nisar Durrani. Meanwhile, Tehreek-e-Insaf’s lawyer Faisal Chaudhry said that the show-cause notices of the Election Commission have been suspended by the Lahore High Court. It is better to wait for the decision of the High Court.
KP member said that your client is the former prime minister. It is their duty to respect the constitutional institutions.
Faisal Chaudhry said that if the High Court gives a decision in favor of the commission, then my clients will appear. There are some issues, lack of trust with Election Commission. The hearing is scheduled for September 29 in the High Court.
