Islamabad August 10 2022: The Election Commission has issued a show-cause notice to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to confiscate prohibited funding.
The Election Commission has issued a show cause notice to PTI through Imran Khan on August 5, the notice says that PTI received donations from prohibited sources, under PPO Rule 6.
It has been said in the show cause notice that why state should not confiscate your prohibited funding while ask PTI chairman to appear on August 23 at 10 am and clear your position.
According to the text of the notice, PTI knowingly received $2.1 million from Arif Naqvi-owned Wootton Cricket Limited, PTI received donations from Bristol Engineering Services UAE, E-Planet Trustees, PTI received donations from US LCs.
It is further stated in the show cause that PTI took donations from Romita Shetty of Indian origin and PTI hide 16 bank accounts.
The notice further stated that Form One submitted by Chairman PTI from 2008 to 2013 was incorrect.
