Karachi July 18 2022: The price of 24 karat per tola gold witnessed an increase of Rs.1,550 on Monday and was sold at Rs.142,400 in the local market against its sale at Rs.140,850 the previous day as Rupee drop to historic low level in the interbank trading.
Pakistan rupee drop against the dollar to historic low of 215.2 rupee in interbank closing due to increase in political tension as PTI wins 15 seats in Punjab by polls despite Pakistan reaches staff level agreement with IMF for release of $1.17 billion under 7th and 8th review of Extended Fund Facility. In the open market, Dollar moved up by more than 5.0 Rupee to trade around at record high level of 216.5 against the previous high of Rs 215.
The price of 10 gram 24 karat gold also increased by Rs.1,329 and was sold at Rs.122,085 against its sale at Rs.120,756 whereas prices of 10 gram 22 karat went up to Rs.111,911 against its sale at Rs. 110,693.
The price of per tola and ten gram silver remained constant at Rs1,570 and Rs1,346.02 respectively, All Sindh Jewellery Association reported.
