Lahore July 4 2022: Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz Sharif has said that his government is going to give a free electricity project to the people of Punjab for which Rs 100 billion has been allocated.
Talking to media at PML-N Secretariat Model Town, Hamza Shahbaz said, “The poorest section of the people of the province, whose monthly electricity bill will be less than 100 units, will be given free electricity from today.”
The Punjab Chief Minister said that we will provide free solar panels to the needy people through Ujala program. The Punjab government has set aside Rs. 100 billion for providing cheap electricity.
Hamza Shahbaz said that nine lakh families would benefit from this project and many families would be able to stand on their own feet due to this project. “We will give solar panels to the poor man so that he can be self-sufficient in the years to come,” he said.
He said that when the electricity bill comes, doomsday falls. Hamza Shahbaz said that he said that the coalition government had decided to increase the price of petrol with a heavy heart. “These are tough decisions, of course, but we will work hard day and night.”
