June 29 2022: Pakistani Rupee gains 1.37 in the interbank trading against the Dollar as IMF double the payment under current review.
Rupee is trading at 205.5 against the dollar after gaining 1.37 rupee in the interbank against yesterday closing of 206.8747. Dollar since its peak falls by 6.43 rupees after hitting all time high of Rs 211.93 on 22nd June 2022.
Finance Minister Miftah Ismail announced on Tuesday that Pakistan had received the Memorandum of Economic and Fiscal Policies (MEFP) from the IMF for the combined seventh and eighth reviews. The two combined tranches of $1.85 billion from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) likely to come by the end of July or early August.
State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) receive RMB 15 billion (~$2.3 billion) from the Chinese consortium of banks on Friday.
