Karachi June 17 2021: The foreign exchange reserves held by the central bank rose by USD 2.4million, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan.

Increase in SBP Foreign Assets fueled money supply growth
As of June 11, 2021, the foreign currency reserves held by the SBP were recorded at USD16,417 million, witnessed a rise of USD2.4 million compared with USD16,415 million in the previous week.
Overall liquid foreign exchange reserves held by the country, including banks stood at USD23,587 million. Reserves held by banks amounted to USD7,169 million. Since Dec 2020, the SBP foreign exchange reserves has increased by USD3,002 million.
