Gold Prices Jump More than Rs 5,000 per tola during the Week

Karachi March 2 2023: According to All Sindh Sarafa Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola increased by PKR 4,300 per tola for 24 Karat on Thursday (PST 19:30) to a trade above 2 lac rupees.

Pakistan Rupee depreciates PKR 18.97 or 6.6 percent in Interbank to close the trading at PKR 285.08 on Thursday as country failed to reach agreement with IMF even after passing 21 days of staff level visit. During the week Rupee lost PKR 25.09 or 8.8 percent against the dollar in Interbank.

IMF demands free float exchange rate and increase in revenues along with circular debt management plan and removal of subsidies for the resumption of agreement.

After this increase, the price of gold per tola in the country has reached 2 lakh 4 thousand 700.

During the week the price of Gold increased by PKR 11,100 per tola.

The price of 24 karat 10 grams of gold trading at PKR 1 lakh 75 thousand 500, whereas that of 10 gram 22 karat went up to PKR 160,874, All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.

The per tola silver is trading at PKR 2,064.

In the International market, the price of gold increases by 0.02 percent or 0.41 dollar per ounce to 1,837.13 dollars per ounce on Thursday PST 21:00.
