Islamabad November 24 2022: The President's House has signed the summary of Prime Minister nominated Army Chief Asim Munir and nominated Chairman Giant Chiefs of Staff Committee Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza.
The appointment of Asim Munir as Chief of Army Staff will be effective from 29 November 2022.
According to the House of Representatives, the President has immediately promoted Lieutenant General Syed Asim Munir to the rank of General and appointed him as the Chief of Army Staff. President Arif Alvi immediately promoted Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza to the rank of General and appointed him as the Chairman of the Giant Chiefs of Staff Committee.
The appointment as Chairman Giant Chiefs of Staff Committee will be effective from 27 November 2022.
