Islamabad September 23 2022: Accountability Court of Islamabad has suspended the perpetual arrest warrant of Muslim League leader and former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
On Friday, Islamabad Accountability Court Judge Mohammad Basheer said that Ishaq Dar should not be arrested on his return, he should return to Pakistan and then look into the matter of canceling his warrant.
Ishaq Dar’s lawyer Qazi Misbah requested to cancel the arrest warrant of Ishaq Dar during the hearing of the case in the accountability court, saying that he will appear in the court as soon as he lands at the airport.
Accountability Court Judge Mohammad Basheer asked the lawyer whether Ishaq Dar was ill or there was any other problem. He also asked where the prosecutor Afzal Qureshi was.
To which the NAB prosecutor replied that Afzal Qureshi has gone to perform Umrah.
It should be remembered that last day Ishaq Dar filed an application in the Accountability Court against his arrest warrant.

The court has restrained the law enforcement agencies from arresting Ishaq Dar on his return to the country until the court comes.
The accountability court judge said that Ishaq Dar can surrender till October 7. He said that Ishaq Dar’s warrant is suspended till October 7.
Ishaq Dar is set to be acquitted says Fawad Chaudary
Responding to Islamabad Accountability Court’s decision to suspend the permanent arrest warrant of PML-N leader and former finance minister, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry says that preparations are underway to acquit Ishaq Dar.
While tweeting, he wrote that ‘Ishaq Dar is now ready to be acquitted, I am surprised that the courts are watching the spectacle of how the accused and NAB are conspiring to dispose of Pakistan’s money. This spectacle was the main objective of ‘Regime Change’. It is unfortunate that NRO 2 is being implemented and everyone is silent except Imran Khan.
