Dubai June 11 2025: Macro stability, a market-friendly budget, and attractive valuations could lead to more foreign flows into Pakistan’s stock market, according to Asia Frontier Capital.
“We have a healthy weight of 18% to Pakistan and therefore could look at selective names in the event of any stock market volatility as the overall macroeconomic situation has stabilized and a balanced budget has been passed,” Ruchir Desai, fund manager at Asia Frontier Capital, says in an email to Bloomberg.
A focus on fiscal discipline in the form of a primary budget surplus and a lower budget deficit in the upcoming financial year with a very low current account deficit is a positive sign, Desai says.
