Islamabad May 11 2024: Ministry of Finance is likely to cut diesel and petrol prices in its upcoming fortnightly review due to a drop in international prices.
Diesel prices are poised to drop to their July 2023 benchmarks due to an anticipated global oil price decline. Expect a decrease of PKR 9.2 per liter, bringing the price to PKR 272.76 per liter.
Likewise, petrol prices are forecasted to decrease by PKR 14.9 per liter, aligning with February 2024 levels.
These adjustments stem from the expected international oil price decrease, as highlighted by FRIM Ventures in a recent social media post.
The government will officially announce these changes on May 15, 2024, and they will be effective from May 16, 2024, through May 31, 2024.
